Postdoctoral Position: Molecular Virology
A Postdoctoral Research position in Molecular Virology is available at the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the School of Medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The candidate will be expected to apply Molecular biology, Cell Biology, classical virology and immunological approaches to the understanding of viral replication. The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientist studying molecular aspects of virus (Orthomyxoviridae, Hantavirus, Retroviruses and Flaviviruses) replication. Work will be conducted as part of the Anillo Program Project No 1408 “Molecular Pathogenesis of Emerging Viruses”. Salary for the position will be commensurate to the FONDECYT Postdoctoral fellowships awarded by CONICYT (year 2015).

Postdoctoral Position: Translational studies on Emerging Viruses
We are seeking for a motivated postdoctoral fellow to join a multidisciplinary team of scientist studying molecular factors of severe disease due to influenza virus and Hantavirus at the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology at the School of Medicine at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. The candidate will be involved in performing virological and immunological assays, to understand human disease and immune response to infection with these viruses. The selected candidate will work closely with clinical staff, basic scientist, bioinformatics specialist and a group of world-renowned international collaborators as part of the Anillo Program Project No 1408 “Molecular Pathogenesis of Emerging Viruses”. Salary for the position will be commensurate to the Fondecyt Postdoctoral fellowships awarded by CONICYT (year 2015).
